A physiotherapy assessment is the initial meeting between you and the physiotherapist. It is a 60 minute session which includes an interview of your injury, source of discomfort, personal medical history and a treatment plan for rehabilitation. It also includes a treatment with manual therapy, exercise prescription and various modalities as needed.

Follow up treatments are scheduled for 30 minutes or 45 minutes depending on the complexity of the condition and time required, evaluated by the physiotherapist. It is recommended that follow up treatments are booked with the same physiotherapist every session.

Eleni graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Degree Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University. She is registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.

Recently, she completed one of her Physical Therapy placements internationally in Sydney, Australia. There, she gained experience working with numerous dancers and athletes as well as incorporating Reformer, Chair, and Mat Pilates in her treatments. Eleni has worked as a Certified Personal Trainer for several years and volunteered with McMaster University varsity sports teams as a Student Athletic Therapist. She has also worked with seniors in a variety of settings. Given her background as a technical and competitive dancer, she is also a certified dance instructor through the British Association of Teachers of Dancing and is an Advanced Member of the Royal Academy of Dance. Eleni adopts a holistic approach to physiotherapy, ensuring each patient receives comprehensive care tailored to their specific needs. Her treatment approach integrates manual therapy and modalities with her extensive background in exercise to maximize her patient goals. Eleni is looking forward to ongoing education. She plans to pursue her certification in acupuncture and enroll in courses such as manual therapy and sports taping in the near future.

Outside the clinic, Eleni enjoys an active lifestyle that includes strength training, outdoor activities, playing tennis & pickleball, and teaching dance classes.

Lucy graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She then obtained her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University in 2015. Since graduation, Lucy has successfully completed level I in Manual and Manipulative Therapy from the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She has earned certification in acupuncture through Acupuncture Foundation of Canada and completed the McKenzie Course in treating low back pain. She has focused on treating musculoskeletal conditions and various sports injuries in private practice setting since graduation. Her rehabilitation philosophy centers on self-management, patient education, manual therapy and exercise prescription. She incorporates acupuncture as an added tool to promote pain management and healing. Lucy is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and is registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.

Lucy has lived on three continents growing up, thoroughly enjoys travelling and her most recent privilege was working as a medical volunteer in San Ignacio, Belize. To stay active, Lucy runs daily, swims and hikes whenever she can. Lucy appreciates establishing a close rapport with her clients to customize treatment to meet their functional goals.

Olivia graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology. She then went on to pursue physiotherapy and earned her Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy degree from the University of Toronto. Since graduating, she has taken continuing education courses in soft tissue release and basic sports taping. She has also received her Level 1 Manual Therapy certification from the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and is registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. She enjoys working with people of any age and has an interest in sports rehabilitation. She has experience working with children and teenagers during her placements in the Physical Therapy program and worked as a camp counselor for several years. Olivia likes to maintain an active lifestyle through swimming, and strength training/conditioning. She is a former competitive dancer and swimmer, and played Ultimate Frisbee for several years. Olivia really believes in the importance of exercise to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Her treatments focus on education, exercise, manual therapy and use of modalities to help her patients reach their goals.
